What has Jimmy Carter been smoking - trying to make a race issue out of the "you lie" statement at the President's health care speech. That guy was the biggest loser President in my life. He could not find his way out of a popcorn sack.

The dems are really pulling out all of the stops now calling the race card when someone does not argee with obummer.

That is all they have finbully. The race card and name calling. Their plans and policies are bankrupting and dividing the country so rather than defend what they are doing they attack those who disagree. Not unlike many right here.

I wonder which side he was being raciest to. Because ain't he mixed 50:50.

Jimmy carter is still mad at his brother billy and dolly parton any way.'

Billy could drink beer and get away with it. emoToast

Dolly raised more goobers then he did. emoBigsmile

How come I get this feeling that I feel a reprimand coming my way. emoBigsmile

Best thing about Jimmy Carter was that he was the first liberal I was able to assist in kicking out of the whitehouse.

emoBigsmile

Loser is an understatement. Double digit unemployment, double digit inflation and double digit interest rates.
I don't really think he was that bad of a guy like slick Willie or olbummer. He was just stupid.

Yea, didn't he leave us with a 900 Billion Dollar debt that Reagan was going to balance, in four years. Lets see 3.5 trillion when Reagan left. Almost five when Sr left, after eight years of Clinton still around five, Republicans double that amount in eight years, lie about WMD in Iraq, let unregulated big business spiral out of control. Somehow, it is still the dems fault. You guys need to stick to Gun control and abortion, that seems to be the only thing Conservatives can hang there hat on, being fiscally conservative, or having any idea about foriegn policy is nothing they can no longer hang their hat on. One thing about it Bush Jr has made sure that Jimmy does not go down as the worst President of my era .

Carter appears to embarrass himself, the state of Georgia, and our country every time he opens his hypocritical mouth. For this anti-Semite (at more than one time has he questioned the holacaust)to call anyone a racist is a joke! I was a kid at the time, but I remember high gas prices, high unemployment, and the botched handling of the Iran hostage situation under the peanut man's watch. Not to mention the mess our military was in from spending cuts, which postponed the dissolution of the Soviet Union for additonal time until they went broke trying to keep up.

During his term even liberals wished for the return of Gerald Ford, and Ronald Reagan gave Carter a much-deserved boot by crushing him in one of the most lopsided presidential elections ever.At least Bush Jr. got two terms, not bounced out on his rear like Carter in a rout.

This guy has started this to push sales of his new written piece of garbage, which is full of distortions and half-truths.

lie about WMD in IraqQUOTE]

I will venture to guess there are thousands if not millions of people in Iraq that would disagree with you.

Sadam was a weapon of mass destruction. The problem with Bush 2 was that his Dad did not go to Bagdad and get Sadam the first time. At the time they were too worried about destabilizing the region by taking the dictator out.

I thought you were griping about people pointing fingers last week in another post?? Guess you need another lesson in where the debt was in January and where it is now. Somehow 5 trillion in 8 years seems a lot better than almost 2 trillion in 9 months. Better yet just wait 3 more years and see where its at if people dont use a little common sense in 2010.

Make no mistake about it still griping about pointing fingers, I think that was the point of my last post.

twilson has a point, I am starting another thread. Party politics aside. Instead of anchors lets look at throwing ropes to pull our country out of this mess. Could be enlightning.

I had always imagined it would have been fairly easy to hide any type of weapon over there. Since it is mostly a desert, just dig a big hole and dump them in. Iraq is a relatively large country and you could easily hide a lot of weapons in a semi truck so I don't think they would be hard to hide. There was also a lot of speculation about them being trucked into Syria......yet another country I don't trust, lol.

Sadam had moved away from his imperialist policies, in my opinion he wanted santions to be removed so he could flood the market with oil. Blow to OPEC and U.S. oil industry, what better way to get back at Bush and his oil buddies. Well I think we all know how that possibly backfired. I better stop now.

yep its all a big conspiracy to lie to the american people and go to war!!! I wonder what was in those trucks crossing the syrian border right before we invaded? Or were those pictures photoshopped?

Possum since you are an expert on foreign policy have you thought about contacting Obama to be some kind of czar? Seems the way he is going to fix unemployment is to make all the unemployed people czars of something.

If that theory was true, especially seeing how we were going to war based on weapons of Mass destruction. Why did we not blow them up? Did we go to war with wrong country then? Trust me, if Sadam had them he would have used them, what better way to take over a country, disarm them, then invade. That is the message we have sent to many around the world. I think that is why countries like N. Korea, and Iran are so adament about having WMA's. There is alot of healing that needs to take place around the World, and I feel the devil is going to do everything in his power to make sure that does not happen.

He did just ask the Kurdish people. Men, women and babies all gassed. We have all seen the pictures and his mass graves.

One thing that most people tend to overlook is that Iraq had been in violation of the terms that ended the first Gulf War almost from the beginning. So, technically, we should have been there a lot sooner. It won't be long before someone on here agrees with Charlie Sheen in saying that our government had full knowledge of the World Trade Center attacks beforehand and did nothing so that we would have a reason to go to war.

Davo - 9/16/2009 8:44 PM As far as weapons of mass destruction, Bush was far and away not the only one who knew Iraq had them. http://www.snopes.com/politics/war/wmdquotes.asp[/QUOTE]

What happened to them, we have had about a half million men over there and they haven't found them yet, just evaporated into thin air, must be the weather they have.

Well if we are going to use that kind of reasoning Bin Laden doesn't exist.
