Davo - 9/16/2009 8:44 PM As far as weapons of mass destruction, Bush was far and away not the only one who knew Iraq had them. http://www.snopes.com/politics/war/wmdquotes.asp[/QUOTE]

What happened to them, we have had about a half million men over there and they haven't found them yet, just evaporated into thin air, must be the weather they have.

Well if we are going to use that kind of reasoning Bin Laden doesn't exist.

The only reasoning that should have been used is to track down binlauden and get rid of him first instead of starting another war in Iraq, binlauden was forgotten about when the war in Iraq was started, now we are pouring more men into afganistan to try and go get him again and he has had plenty of time to dig a lot more caves since he wasn't pursued for a few years.

I work for the military, and we have NEVER forgotten Bin Laden. For you to say that Doc is an untruth, and a smack in the face of the young men fighting in Afganistan, which include my cousin. If Clinton would of taken him out in 1998 when we had the chance this would be a smaller issue.

Clinton would have taken him out when he found him but it takes around 3 hours to get the information to the military, get the right missel launched and get it delivered. They couldn't get him to stand still for 3 hours much less 3 minutes. Ask your army buddies if this is correct.

Example: It takes our missile defense system 10 minutes to tract, react and engage a tacticle ballistic missile from an enemy. The President has Military aids with direct contact with all major field commanders and it takes the transmission of a direct line to call in the orders. Minutes... Perhaps Clinton was busy with other things, like golf or assorted interns.

I'm not being argumentitive, I just know the military's capability and it does not take them that long to react...especially Special Ops is tracking an enemy.

When binladen was spotted by satelite, it took 3 hours at the time to get anything dropped, but as you say10 minutes now, how are they going to get him to stand still for the10 minutes it takes the missel to get there? We didn't have any bases there at the time but we do now. We didn't have drones there then but we do now but he hasn't been spotted by any drones which have onboard missels. I know our military is good but not that good, I guess they could have dropped him a leaflet telling him to stand still and don't move.

My first cousin was THE Military Aid to President Regan so I can easily agree with what Bprice says because my cousin Casey has told me.

Doc, we've had UAVs flying in the middle east and Asia since the mid-90s. We've had air power for sometime in the area as well. Since the mid 90s we've had lock and fire and forget technology that can track movements.

It might of taken 3 hours, but I would say its not the militaries mishap but indecisiveness on the administrations part.

We can just agree to disagree. I do think Clinton made good decisions in Bosnia and Kosovo though

I always thought Jimmy Carter was a true christian and thats why he didnt get alot accomplished in his term. He might of been the last true christian in the white house. I believe he was the best humantariun post-president. I still know alot of people who share Jimmys views . Mankind is weak that is why we were sent Jesus to straighten out our weakness....

You seem to be forgetting that Sudan offered ole Binny to us on a silver platter in 1996, but Clinton wouldn't do it because the Saudis would not indict him. So how are you going to defend Slick Willy on that one?
