Jmax, Chick, Bass and Crappie, 10/24/16, alone

Got a call from Don today telling me it was slow and I should be fishing. You don't have to tell me twice. Got out and started with a frog and got a few to play. Only put six in the boat with three keepers. Had one other looked to be four pounds after I drug him out of the grass came off as I tried to swing him into the boat. emoRolleyes Best one I got in the boat weighed 3/11. (below) Not as many folks out as I thought there would be. After a couple hours I decided I needed to get some fish for my freezer. It has been empty of fish and it is about time to start pulling some slabs. Went to one of my Fall places to see if they were there and they were stacked. emoTongue Had a blast. Boated a bunch, kept my limit of fifteen crappie in the 11 and 12 inch size. Never had any over the 12 inchers but had fun catching the ones I did. Going to be some good eating right there. emoHungry (below) Should start seeing some schoolers here soon with the temps dropping. Lot of shad schools about. Crappie hit on a 15 to 20 count. 1/16th head, crappie assassin on four pound high viz.

Hey Jim haven't been back on chick since the CBA Classic . Has the frog bite gotten any better we are planing on coming down next Friday and Saturday and sling em. Is the lake all the way down yet? Thanks

The lake has about two feet to go. The bite is a hit and miss. Find the right mat and you can crush'um.
