CFF,

I know several folks were asking for some pics of Dixie Jig Works Custom Bait products. A website would be nice for some, but for me I take joy in the fact that I call Rob and we just talk exactly through what I want and what situation I am looking to use the bait in. The personal touch is what makes these baits great.

DJW Jigs are excellent baits, and I use them exclusively. Typically I like to trim my weedguard back to the point for better hook penetration, but that means lots of hang ups in the grass at Guntersville and Wheeler. With the high quality hooks on these jigs I have found no need to trim my guard. The high gloss coat is as durable as advertised. I love fishing these around rock structure on Wheeler and the paint job just holds up. Here are some pics of the 1 oz model, and 1/4 - 1 oz models. Black and blue are my favorite colors!

Here is an example of the soon to be famous Rump Shaker... This bait is a great alternative for those Guntersville Summer Grassline bass that are tired of seeing swimming worms and spinnerbaits

For those of you gearing up for the Choo-Choo BFL Trail this year, you all know you will be hitting Wheeler in early May. I've fished Wheeler for 20 years and know how the bass love to get rooted in the shore grass in April and May. As a kid I would modify Strike King Spinnerbaits to get the "bream" look that I wanted. Rob was able to consult with me on exactly what I wanted and the color scheme I used to modify my baits to. It was exactly what I was looking for, in color and size, I like to call it the "Wheeler Special." Also attached are some other colors I've found effective on Wheeler and Guntersville. The best thing is the Mustad Ultra Point Hook... extra long, and its eliminated my need for trailer hooks!

I agree totally with you Bprice! I could go on and on about the features of the baits themselves. But, what I like is the personal service I get when dealing with Rob. I can pick out whatever colors, sizes, and styles I want, and I am not limited to "whats in stock". I must say that I have caught some nice bass off the baits! I know I own a solid 10 pounds of DJW jigs. My favorite baits are the heavy football jigs and spinner baits I use for deep fish on the Chick.

Had to add my two favorites. The first is the crappie with a black willow and small silver willow. Works great in early spring. The second is my night time summer bait and has caught me a lot of bass
