Re: Lure modification can make all the difference - enter 'Frankenstein' soft plastics
Well, let me give you my "pitch". Ha Ha!
Fairfield Glade-Crossville
#1 at 2000 feet therefore 6 -8 degrees cooler than Memphis; Nashville; Chatt. and Knoxville..also cooler in Winter!
#2 Wyndham Resort Community. Five golf courses (Golf Capital of TN.) Eleven lakes.. but I can't catch many fish in them!
#3. 45 minutes from all of the shopping your wife could want in Knoxville Suburb of Farragut
#4. Excellent medical facilities in Knoxville, about an hour away, or, two hours to Vanderbilt.
#5. Tons of things to do. i.e Art/Music/Swimming/Tennis/Pickleball/Golf/Cards/Dancing/Basketball all in a community of people who actually DO THOSE THINGS. Monday night free outdoor music all Summer.
# 6. Large (fee) exercise facility; meeting rooms, indoor swimming pool (also two outdoor pools) Indoor and Outdoor Pickleball and Tennis. Two beaches on the two larger lakes. Kayaking; pontoon boat; fishing boat rentals. NO WAKE Lakes (all of them)
#7 Assisted living facility on the site
#8 Low prices, everything from condos to small and large homes. Prices on homes from $125m to a $500/750M mansions on the big lake. Condos and even some older mobile homes are available, too. Golf course living around $200,000 and up.
#9 Low Real Estate taxes....i.e. 175m 3 bedroom home, on one of the golf courses, taxes are under $900.00 annually.
#10 reasonable monthly fees. $95.00 monthly for access to almost everything (you still pay low golf fees) Water; sewer; garbage included.
#11 Contingents from nearly every State West of the Mississippi. Pretty sure the NY 'ers have their own picnic each Summer, Most States do.
#12 Candidly, the cooler temperatures are a BIG reason why my wife and I wound up there part of each year. We get out of Hot, Hot, Hot Houston TX every Summer.
#13 Fishing Caney Fork River is one hour West (big rainbows); Chickamauga; Melton Hill (Stripers and muskies);Watts Bar and more all are 1 to 1 1/2 hours to the East.
Negative for me is that Crossville doesn't have much in the way of dining out. Cookeville is 30 minutes West and has plenty of restaurants and Knoxville suburbs are 45-minutes East and has every restaurant that I can think of. In Crossville, if Lowes and/or Walmart doesn't have it, I order from Amazon.
What more can I say????
