I have been thinking about buying some scales and putting on a tournament on sunday mornings next year.it would be on nick and chick switch up weekends just for fun entry fee would be 20$ what do you folks think yes or no and how many would show

We want to fish tournaments but Sunday is our day to worship. Why would it have to be Sunday? What about an evening dogfight?

I think Sunday tx's are a good option for guys who work on Saturday plus scheduling is easier. I'd go up to $30 with big fish incl.

I use to love the Big fish tournies but nobody does them anymore, they were on Wednesday evening 5 dollar entry, winner take all.. fun stuff right there and don't break the bank makes it easy for novice anglers to fish and feel like they don't have to pay a fortune.. The 20 entry could work for this also

And i didnt want the entry fee to be high because i was looking for more of a enjoyment / fun show of sportsmanship

How much are the scales. Sounds like it could be a good time. But yes there is tons of tournaments already. But at 20 a boat you should attract novice people. Could do the payout of 15 goes to the bag and 5 for big fish. If scales are not to high for the investment to start with. That way if the crowd does not show for it would not be to much in the hole. Sounds a lot like the working mans tournaments out of Dayton boat dock. Theirs is on Sunday also.

I think it sounds like a good idea. There are not that many Sunday tourneys. Also, EVERYDAY is a day of worship so I don't see a problem with sundays. What boat ramps would you use?

See thats why i was thinking sunday for the working folks and yes i agree sunday is a day of worship

A day to worship the fish, IMO. There are 6 other days in the week for religion.

The lake does however get beat up a little all week and seems to make Sundays a little tougher.

They do sometimes get hungry on Sundays tho, lol.
