Made a short run to where we have caught fish before where we started out shallow. Caught our limit early. We moved around and the deeper we got the better the fish was. Ray hooked our big fish behind the boat. We turn around and caught several more culling a few times. Moved around staying in the 8 to 12 foot range caught a few more. The storms moved in and we went in a boat slip to wait it out. The lighting moved away but it was still raining so we broke out the rain gear and started fishing. Moved out to where we was catching them before it started. Ray hooks up on a big post spawn fish it was skinny and sick looking had sores but it was a good cull. Earl and Ronnie came by they had been in a slip out of the storm like us. They left and about the time they got out of sight Ray hooks up again on a good one. I grabbed the net and in the boat she came. Jeff an his partner watched the show. We ended up with 17 something for 1st place. Rays big fish was 7.49 I was net man for Ray all day. Caught fish on jigs, shakeyheads,T rigged worms.
