Justfishin, Nick, CFF#7, 6/26/20, Ray

[Justfishin]

I haven’t been down to nick since last year, Ray was down there couple weeks ago. We decided to go early and look around and do some scanning before the tx. We blasted off, ran to first spot someone was there so we went on to the next spot. Didn’t take long before we had a limit of 2 smallmouth and a 12” spot. Went back up river a ways and started culling the smallmouth it sucked we could only keep 2 we caught I think 6 and only one wasn’t a keeper. We decided to go find some lm or bigger spots before dark. Ran around everywhere only catching small fish. They turned the water off at dark and it’s tough when they do that. Ray finally caught us a good keeper lm. I caught a nice spot but it was smaller than the lm so we threw it back. We would have been close to big spot if we Had kept it but you never know. Caught all our fish on crankbaits,swimbaits,spinnerbaits ands jigs. We had 11 something for 3rd place and big smallmouth. Congrats to Ken and chad on the win.

I love catching smallies they are mean. Our two biggest was around 4.5 it was to late to remember the weights.
