footman1824 , Ive started looking at the perception striker angler 11.5 and it looks like a solid boat ... it is a very possible contender! love the fact its at dicks for 500 and its supposedly super stable where you can stand.

I have a bass boat and used to fish tourneys in that but since I got my Jackson coosa I haven't used my bass boat but a couple of times. I have fished a lot of the bass yakkers events, and they are all super people who are serious about fishing.

If you get the Ride115x you will have one of if not the most stable kayak on the market. It is set up for mounting a transducer and battery right i the hull. Very cool feature. It is long enough to track great on long paddles but short enough to turn well in moving water like a river. Maybe not white water but reasonable moving water. Having had mine for a few years and been in several... If I ever sell mine I will get the 115x.

I do like the open design of the slayer but if you want electronics it's hard to beat the 115x.

Ive read into the Ride115x and I know no forum is gonna get me the actual experience besides actually being in that boat and demo'ing them to know for sure which one i like. I seen the whole compartment thing for the transducer/battery/ and fish finder (Freakin Awesome) but for 1200 ehhh... Like I said earlier Im limited on funds being in college and working at dicks (sporting goods) I get a discount sooooo, I'm thinking that that perception striker angler is a very liable solution to get me on the water and whenever i get the funds I can buy that ride 115x and use it as a lake yak and the perception for a creek yak.I work tomorrow morning so I am definitely going to look at it and maybe sit in it just to get a feel of it...thanks for the replies guys , y'all are making me think twice on every decision i make (In A GOOD way of course!!!)haha

As soon as I get this kayak (whichever one I end up with) Im definitely going to try and get in with this bass yakker crowd everyone talks so highly of . haha

Bdycus10, if you want to try mine out, pm me. If I could afford it, I would get a Hobie Mirage. Its has hands free propulsion.

I am in Cohutta... if you want to paddle one of mine let me know... We can find a body of water somewhere close.

Dycus, you're going to go crazy with this kayak fishing stuff. It's awesome. My biggest bass came from my kayak and it was a wild ride. Trying to reel in the fish and at the same time not let her drag me into some rocks, then trying to grab my net and land her was a whole nother thing. We'll get together this summer and I'll show you where I like to put in and paddle.

Wiltz, as soon as I get one were definitely going to go out and fish. I been keeping up with the KBF Open this past weekend and I just keep getting more and more excited just thinking about it. I figured its time to quit the pond hopping scene and start some bigger things to gain some more experience fishing.Im Looking forward too it!

SOOOOOO...this past week I've been craigslist'n like a mad man for a yak and found some great deals ...found a 2011 wilderness systems ride135 for 700 with cheap fish finder , paddle , and pfd which i thought was a good deal so i texted the guy ...he sold it...so i found a ride 115x for 900 with a cheap fish finder and paddle for 900 and the guy said he was looking to get 900 or trade for a bass hunter style boat. wellllllllll i looked online and they sell a sun dolphin brand of bass hunter for 500 and with my discount i can get it for 375 and after tax it would be around 400 so might possibly be able to get this ride 115x for 400 dollars . I will be texting him tomorrow and see if we could meet up at the Dick sporting goods in Atlanta and make this transaction so he would feel he was getting a deal since it would be straight off the showroom floor! I'm super excited ,fingers crossed that this guy is down!
