Time Fished: 1 pm - 7 pm
Weather: Cloudy
Air Temp: low 60's
Water Clarity: murky
Water Temp: 59.2
Target Species: Cats
Baits Used: Cutbait (Skipjack Herring)
Structure Fished: Outflow pipe from sewage treatment plant

We fished the Concord Park sewage treatment pipe yesterday. We only caught 12 fish total but it was a day to remember. David (my brother-in-law) caught his new personal best, a 62 pound blue catfish. I caught a couple 30 pounders. The bite was only during the day when there was current flowing. Once they turned the current off, the fish quit biting. We had a great time in spite of only catching 12. All fish were released with only a sore lip.

Nice monster cats, you mean there is pipe coming out in the middle of the lake? I thought it was back in the creek

Yes, there is a sign that says no dredging or anchoring beside the bridge. The outflow pipe comes out from where the sign (underwater) is and extends about 100 yards out into the lake.

Well done! emoThumbsup

Also curious about your screen name (kickapooh). Decades ago, when I was much younger, there was a Tennessee archery club named "Kickapoo." Any connection, or just coincidence?

Thanks. Nope no connection. I went to a casino in an Indian reservation in Kansas many years ago. It was called Kickapoo. I liked the name and it had a nice ring to it so it just kinda stuck.
