Re: Labman in ICU at Erlanger ** Updated**

Drove down to the Riverpark to show my helper what it's like below the dam this morning.
We saw a few fish busting the suface and some jumping, he doesn't fish much and he actually said "Man those fish look kinda jumpy-do they always do that?"
I thought , what a timely question and said " Only when they know Labman's coming soon!" emoThumbsup

Get well soon Norman. This forum isn't the same without you posting your catches of smallies and encouraging the rest of us.

RE: Labman in ICU at Erlanger ** Updated**

I just now read about Norman and his health issues. I did try and call but no answer at the hospital, home, nor cell phone.
I am really glad Judie posted a good update on him. I will definitely be praying he continues to improve.

Re: Labman in ICU at Erlanger ** Updated**

I just talked to Judy and he is still in quite a bit of pain so they're keeping him pretty medicated. Medically he's doing pretty well they're just trying to give him lots of rest to let his brain heal and hope to move him to Siskin soon for rehab.

Norman called me and wanted me to let everybody know that he really really appreciates all the messages and calls, but he is having a very difficult time with the phone. He's having trouble answering and using the phone, apparently his mental abilities are struggling a little bit in that aspect.

He wanted to express that he is not ignoring anyone it is just very difficult for him to function with the phone at the moment and he's having a very hard timeacceptingthat realization. I know that Judie is giving him all of these messages so if you have things to post on the forum he definitely gets them via Judie, keep up the good work crew.

Thanks for keeping us updated, Spur! A lot of poeple (myself included) have a hard time or even are uncomfortable with calls and visitors when they're laid up.
I thinks it's great to have a couple people that you are closer to just relaying the thoughts and prayers from all the casual friends you've made when you're a good guy like Norman!

I talked to Norman on the phone yesterday, Sunday night and he's very upbeat and positive but the boy is really sick. He did have some trouble talking on the phone. I probably should not have called. I think it's much better to wait a while, probably after rehab is done. I know that the guys on here will continue to lift Norman up to The Father daily. He definitely appreciates all the prayers and concerns. emoGeezer emoGeezer

Yeah-that's kinda what I was getting to in my last reply. He knows we're there for him-let him rest.
