That's what I was thinking JTF. Sounds like a bunch of pot heads. The govt would make a ton of money by legalizing it. They don't make money trying to control it.

Hey guys it good to hear yall are sitting on the couch while smoking your weed, but MJ does affect your driving skills and you CAN get a DUI if you get pulled over while high.

And you absolutely should get a DUI if driving high. But using that logic to prohibit it would also apply to alcohol, prescription and even some non-prescription drugs. I've never touched the stuff, but it seems to me that legalizing it would decrease crime overall and prevent billions of dollars from leaving our country and going directly into the pockets of drug cartels.

You are right it is possible to get a DUI if you are high/otherwise on prescription drugs. It's tough for the police to prove but within the law.
Here's my problem with comparing marijuana to alcohol. Some people (including myself) acutally drink for the enjoyment of the flavors (not talking about Natty Light here) . Folks sometimes drink to enjoy the taste not the effects, much like smoking a fine cigar or sipping on some vintage wine. Not everytime someone puts alcohol/liquor on their lips do they do it to get smash faced drunk. The same can not be said for MJ or illegal drugs. One does it for one reason, and that is to alter their state of mind.

That is the lamest argument I have ever heard....So .0001 percent of people drink for the flavor, the rest are drinking to get drunk. I mean look at the booze industry, it fills the bars every night. More people lose their jobs over alcohol than any of the illegal drugs. Don't get me wrong, I love me some beer, or even a crown and coke. With any mind altering substance, legal or not, it is about moderation. Trying to legislate morals is what it is really about. "I don't approve, so no one should be allowed to do it". So much for personal freedom.
