"Legend's Dogfight" on Satuday July 4th????

Chattanooga Fishing Forum

Help Support Chattanooga Fishing Forum:

Jim, you know I'll do my best to make it so be looking for the "Churlycraft" bright and early. I'd be happy to help you in any way with the weigh-in. Where's Al, Rob and some of our other legends? The only suggestion I have is that we have the weigh-in at Fox Cay? LOL!

It'll be fun!

Justin, I've been out of pocket for several days...just saw this and I'm not sure if I can make it, but I'm going to try. If I can, I will certainly help with sign-in or what ever Jim might need. Oh, and I need one of those bags of fish also. Al</p>

That is great...with me, pointer78, fishinjunkie, churly and maybe wetwillie that is enough to handle it. I am looking forward to this one. emoSmile

Everyone be sure to bring plenty of ice to cool off your livewells for the fish you will be catching. I use frozen plastic bottles and it always seems to work just fine. I also will have my food injector for fizzing. emoBigsmile Jmax

What does one have to do to reach "Legend" status?

I have believed you to be a "Legendary pain in the butt" ever since you wore that "He's Gay" shirt to the Nickajack tournament a couple years back. emoLaugh Jmax

I have to work on Saturday morning so I won't be able to be there. Holiday weekends are usually prime down time project periods for industrial plants and I don't get to play much on Holidays.

This is shaping up to be a good one. I did not count but I think that is about 20 boats so far.

Summery:
Hours; 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. out of HBSP.
Sign up that morning at the ramp at HBSP.
Weigh in at 11 a.m. at the picnic area across from the marina.
Don't everyone bring fish at the same time, wait for line to go down.
Be inside the bouys by 11 or be DQ'd, don't be Churly with 30 seconds to spare.
Three fish only, spots 12, LM 15 and SM 18.
I will measure the smallest if close but no penalty to bring one up. emoAngel
Open to everyone, no more then two anglers per boat.
$20 entry and $5 big bass, with partner or without, 100% payback.
I will be there about 5:00 to start sign ups. Please try and be early.
1 place every five boats up to five places max.
1 big bass pot up to 20 boats and then two big bass pots for over 20 boats.
Only one big bass will count per boat, you cannot win both big bass pots.

All other rules apply from the CFF rules.

I think that about does it.

My son and I will try to make this one. Since I'm a "Legend" in my own mind I should qualify. emoBigsmile emoGeezer

Sounds like a good one shaping up. Good idea JMax emoThumbsup

To save any confusion here are the other CFF rules that apply:

* No Live Bait, No Trolling, No Locking Through

* Dead Fish - 1/2 Pound Per dead fish. No More Than 2 dead fish can be weighed per boat.

** SPECIES –

* 12" Spotted bass - 15" Largemouth - 18" Smallmouth

* Brown is Brown. There are some smallmouth that contain a tooth patch, but a brown fish is a smallmouth

* A spot qualifies as being green, and has a tooth patch

* A fish still in question will be determined by Jmax and helpers.

** SAFETY –

* Participants are encouraged to abide by all state and federal regulations and take all necessary precautions to provide for their safety. I strongly encourage the wearing of a life vest while the big motor is running and on plain.

** DISTANCE-

* 50 yard rule when competing in this tournament. Unless waved over, stay outside a judgment distance of 50 yards.

* As usual, please exercise safety, good sportsmanship and most of all, have fun fishing!

emoThanks Jmax
