Since my mother in law thought she would get rich off of having all the timber cut off of the 38 acres i live and hunt on guess I will have to find another place to hunt .I was wondering if anyone knew of any leases not to far away that might have an opening for at least 1 and possibly 3 .I realize this is coming during the middle of vow season .But she all of a sudden decided to let them do it and the next day they were cutting .No notice to take stands down or anything .I know this may be a shot in the dark but any info is appreciated .I dont see how anyone could have land thier parents poured their blood and sweat into could destroy it just to get a little bit of money.

Dang, that sucks. Had a timber company do it to us about 9 years ago, week after youth hunt they pulled in and started cutting. It sucked!!!

she had it done about 5 yrs ago also they destroyed our yard with a skidder and just laughed it off .This time there is no coming in our yard my boat and everything else i got is blocking it .They can cut them off the ridge and get them from the main road if they want them bad enough .I have learned loggers do not care anythng about anything but cutting the wood and getting the money they have left limbs and everything in all the streams and storm run offs and the tile that is in the road bed they have covered it up so no one knows it is there for some reason. It was a great place to hunt with alot of deer but not worth a flip now

I stared hunting some clear cut land this year and I love it. I saw a ton of deer. Worst thing is after you shoot one is the briars!!!!!!! If there are woods around there, and deer, guess where they like to brouse, bed down and hide. I would get me a lock on stand or a tri-pod and give it a try. Unless there are some trees left to climb.
