Thought I'd put in a word about Mann's Hardnose soft plastics. I really like the way they work. The nose section as you'd guess is very hard plastic, I use Owner z bend hooks for most of my plastics and these baits never come off. I'm about tired of all my Zoom stuff, great lures but the salt content seems to make them fall apart after one or 2 hooksets. The Hardnose are extremely durable and you will wear out the middle section way before the head falls apart. I just bought several more packs today (along with a bunch of other crap I don't need) and thought I'd post about them.

Amen Davo... I started using some after Luke Clausen won the Bassmaster Classic with the 6 inch Mann's Hardnose Worm. The profile is nice as well. I've also used the "Fluke" occasionally, seems to have good action.

I like the style of their 6 inch worm, with the large curltail. I've been using a tequila sunrise worm occasionally; it's only the second productive reddish lure I've used around here.

My only complaint is that the body of the bait tears, because the head has no give on the hook shank. I can't tell that the baits last much longer, although they are less irritating to use because they don't slide down the hook shank.

I wish someone would carry that 'whiskey ice' color.

WE USED TO USE A TOOTHPICK THRU THE WORM AND THE EYE OF THE HOOK TO KEEP SOFT WORMS UP ON THE HOOK...STILL WORKS PRETTY GOOD

DAVO, good post.. I have never tried them.... will give it a shot.... anything to beat the madbomber.... if you know what I mean....emoGeezer
