After killing a prop yesterday on the "just under water sandbar" in front of the boat landing in Chester Frost, who would be in charge of installing a marker bouy over that so that the ones who don't know it's there, maybe, won't hit it like so many have?
I know it's there now and those who have used that area before for years know it's there but there have been many a prop and lower end wrecked there and that's a hard lesson. emoAngry

I had no idea myself. If I had the boat in the water this winter and fished over there, I bet I would have hit it too....sorry about the luck Hal.

Talking about placing your own marker, when I fished at Watts Bar a few weeks ago with team-d, we found that crazy metal box a little off the wing wall ONLY because of a members reporting on CFF.

We were lucky, because it will absolutly rip off your lower if you hit it running. I am going to put a brick on a marker of some kind and drop it right in the center of that dumb thing. I dont understand why its not marked now.

what a bummer. I hit that bar sat afternoon on the way to harbor lights marina. dont know if i have any damage yet.ileft the boat there so i can have new fenders put on traileremoBang lets hope all is ok.i was just running slow but dug a big hole.

Take a 10' stick of 1" pvc, paint it dayglow orange, and drive it in the ground there. I have done this in an area that was in a creek, and had claimed a few props. Plus it will keep people from getting hurt when they ski around it in the summer. I have seen skiers fall in the area I planted the PVC, before I put it there, and come out bleeding from the rocks and stumps they hit.

HEY HAL DONTIF WILL HELP OR NOT I GOT A BUDDY THAT HAS SOME USED PROPS IF WILL LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU NEED I MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP HE SELLS THEM A GOOD PRICE

Man; I probably have just been lucky. Thank you guys on the CFF for the picture and the information. I would have plowed through there and been in the same shape with my prop.

i have lived here all my life and my dad lives in chester frost park and i was not paying attention one day and the next day i too donated some money to bill at performance props. emoLaugh

This is the route I take in the park. Shallowest water I go through is on the point where people camp, its about 7-8 foot.
