Great post. Thanks. I wear my pfd all the time now, even in the summer when it's blazing hot. There is no way to know when you might go in the drink. I fish solo a good bit and when the weather very cold and the water is cold, I've started wearing a semi-dry suit.

thanks for the heads up, i went out to sportsmans wearhouse and bought a fishing pfd, the upper half is just a normal vest and all the flotation material is lower so it doesn't get in the way of fishing. it also has several pockets i found very handy. finally a pfd i don't mind wearing all the time. it comes in several colors i chose the camoflouge. i chose this type because i read that the inflateables aren't as effective in cold weather.

Thanks for the post. I keep spare clothes in the boat just in case. Thank the good Lord I haven't gone overboard yet. But if or when I do, all of these posts will be very helpful. Thanks for the info for the loops on the back of the boat for getting back in the boat. I will be getting some on my boat tomorrow.
