Me, Jayme and Adam decided to fish the Big Bass Splash together at the beginning of last week, and I am sure glad we did. We had a awesome trip and good times with all the people that went.

We went down on Thursday to practice. I talked to a guide down there name Mike Carter who is an awesome guide and recommend you looking his guide service up, and book a trip. He told us that the fish had made a strong push shallow that week, and sure enough they did. We practiced all day deeper with very little result. At the last part of the day we decided to do what Mike told us and went shallow....We caught 2 over 3-1/2 and a 5 pounder in 20 minutes, and decided that is where we would start.

went there Friday the first hour of the tournament, we had about 26 pounds in 45 minutes off of that area on Chatterbaits.....We had a 6.92 a 5.76 and a 5.30 that we weighed in the first hour of the tournament and got two checks worth $600 dollars we were pumped. We caught one short the rest of the day after that. Glad we got them why we could.

The second day we went right back to that area....It was terrible not even a sniff. the water had dropped ft., and the temps were down another 2 degrees. Adam was struggling to concentrate due to sum unfortunate bowel movements, so we had to make a quick trip to the bank to let him do his business, and he must of rubbed off on me and Jayme, because we all had to take care of business once we made it to the bank. It was such a blessing that we stopped there to do that, because the bank looked like a great bank with 12 ft. on it, so we started fishing there. Long story short we ended up catching 28 pounds of that bank on trick worms. We cashed 3 checks in the bonus hour from 11-12. we had a 7.27, and a 5.86 and a 5.00, and in the Big Bass splash if you weigh a 3.00, a 4.00 or a 5.00. It is an extra $1000. We got really lucky with that one lol......We ended up making $1725.00 that hour, and went back to fishing. we caught some more 5 pounders, but were not good enough for a check.

The third day was a lot tougher.....we had 3, and 4 pounders all day long, but couldn't get a big bite to get a check. with 10 minutes left in the last hour in the tournament Adam gets a bite sticks the fish, and says "get the net this is her" she clears the water about 2 ft, and we know it is a 7 pound class fish. I get the net and stretch towards the fish it jumps. Adams worm pops out of the fish's mouth she is half way out of the net and swim right into the net. I can say one thing it was meant to be, and a little lucky.....The fish weighed 6.58 good enough for 4th place that hour and $400.

What an awesome event, and time with good friends. I hope we do that well next year. I am already looking forward to it.

Dad, I agree 100%

Congratulations guys. Good sticks in that boat. And as far as mike goes I worked with him for several years in a 9 to 5 job and he is doing what he should be now. The man can fish and hunt. Or that's what they say he never invited me. Lol. All jokes aside I've never heard a bad report on him and he's been willing to give info in years past when I was on the big G that was helpful. Waiting on my invite now Mike after that plug. Just kidding. Heath

Good job TEAM HORSESHOE!!!!!! Or is it TEAM HOSRESH.. Ah never-mind!! Good times and good guys, had a blast
