Alvin and I hit the Riverpark at 7AM this morning. The day started off great and then 15 minutes into ita guy pulled about 50 yards in front of us and start fishing. Now we were the ONLY two bass boats for 10 miles of river and this idiot had to pull 50 yards in front of us. Unreal. There are tons and I mean tons of great banks to fish where we were and he had all the room in the world to start further down but nope, he had to start right where we were. Hope the dum-bass did well because we killed them where he was fishing after he left.

Anyway, today was an awsome day. We boated 99 spots, a 3.6 lb largemouth, 4 google eyes and a 13 lb drum. 100 bass were brought into my boat today. All fish were within 5 feet of the bank with some being 6" off the bank. We started the day throwing spinnerbaits and tubes but when the wind died and the clouds rolled in the bass flat tore up a black/blue pig n jig. For about 2 hours we killed them and all fish were so far up on the bank it was hard to beleive their backs were not out of the water. When the rain started the fish died and we were on number 85. We kept on fishing and got our last 15 bass but we had to work for them. Our catch rate today was 18.1 bass per hour. We also hooked and lost (most right at the boat) over 30 bass today. They just would not start hooked up for some reason. The spots are up and getting right, just wish the 2.5-3 lb females would pull up. I kept 6 fish for dinner and none of them contained any eggs.

Water temp was 67 degrees.
