Get a custom rod built on something like the GatorGlass U696XH or Batson RCLB80M (this Batson might be at the top end of your price range, they have other lower priced models that work well).

Minner, curious as to which Batson model you built on (pm if you wish).

I used a Batson SWB70M with the underwraps it feels more like a MH. I almost went with the MH blank at first and I think I'm glad I didn't because it would have been MUCH heavier and it might have been too stiff with the underwraps.
