I have waited what seems like forever for a Bass Pro Shop to open in our area. I know it is an Outpost and not a full size store but I was disappointed.
They need to increase the fishing lure area. I am glad it is here but it was a let down no doubt about it. On an up side, I was concerned that it could have put some of the smaller local tackle stores out of business. I don't see that happening.

Don't get me wrong I am glad it is here. I just wish we had got one of the Big Stores.

They are going to have to do with the turning lane on Ringgold Rd coming from the interstate. It was backed up.

Compared to Opryland or Sevierville, it is a little small. The fishing selection still outclasses all of the local big box competitors by a long shot. Looking at the marine and accessories, the smaller assortment is well balanced in selection.

Sure wish they would have put it somewhere else. That exit has been messed up for years, the last thing it needed was more traffic.

I am also not sure what it brings to fisherman that isn't already covered, other than boat financing for 15 years... and I am not so sure we need more people getting into boating easily, and paying so much interest to do so.

But the town of East Ridge where I live put in a few fireworks stores, who I assume are surviving on online sales. so wtf do I know.

I personally think it has a tiny fishing section. Sportsmans warehouse still has the biggest fishing section around. I am however glad they brought it to town because of the jobs and potential opportunities it brings to the existing surrounding stores. The pros out- weigh the cons for sure.

I think it is really a nice store. We were long overdue for a BPS.
I found the traffic a real pain but expect that to improve as time goes on.

I have heard from 2 sources, they sold more guns in 2 days, than any other grand opening. True or not,I don't know. Maybe because of recent tragic events.

The trip i made this morning was worth the rubber coated net for $10.

emoThumbsup Yep, got me one too!

Also a pair of Redhead Waterproof (knee-high) boots for only $30. They're not Muck Boots, but for $30 I can buy 4 pair to equal one pair of Muck Boots. emoBigsmile

Easiest thing to do would be to open the far right hand lane where the exits and on ramps are and let it just continue all the way to the split. That way, if you need to take I-24 west, you have much more time to get over. That and people just need to learn how to merge.......
