New Bass Pro Shop

I've only been there once so far. It's a nice store. But if you've seen one, then you've seen them all. But they do carry a few things that other stores don't carry. They could've picked a better location. In my opinion, Cabelas got the best spot for a store like that.

I was pretty disappointed in the fishing section. I went to get 7-8 things I needed and they only had one of them. I wasn't looking for anything crazy either just stuff you would expect a Bass Pro to carry. It was stuff I was needing for the night tournament tonight. I called Dallas and he went to the Bass Pro in Nashville and they had everything I was looking for...

I went there Thursday early afternoon.

Traffic was not a problem at all and the store was not very crowded.

It was nice but the only real difference between it and Cabela's, Gander Mountain, and Sportsman's Warehouse was their boats and motors.

I think I like Cabela's a little better but that is just based on one quick visit to BPS.

It is nice to have that many choices but is there really enough demand to keep all of them open long term?

The last few times I have stopped in Gander Mountain there were very few customers.

I am more likely to go to Sportsman's Warehouse just because it is closer.

Mostly order off the internet anyway.

When I checked the BPS prices of both some hard baits and soft baits with prices seen elsewhere, I discovered that BPS was higher. Perhaps my sample was too small or perhaps BPS was relying of fishermen buying the higher-priced baits because of their enthusiasm. We did buy some cleaner for mold that was not available elsewhere.

FYI

This is for July 23 and 24.
