New to CFF and Chickamauga

Hey everyone, another newbie from Florida. My wife and I moved up from Gainesville a couple weeks ago, and live in Soddy. I am hoping to get some advice about where I can bank fish for now, and then advice on a boat once we sell our home down there. I want something small and easy, had both kayaks and jon boats before. Ideally, I'd like to get in a little time before or after work on the weekdays, then of course on the weekend. I've heard great things about Soddy Custom Tackle, so plan on stopping in there but if there are any other local shops, let me know. I believe in supporting local.

If you want a local shop Soddy Custom is the only real game in town and they are knowledgeable, friendly, and have a good selection of lures and baits. You ever want to go out on the water I usually have a back seat open. I don't pounds the banks as much as most I tend to structure fish though so don't know if that is your cup of tea.
