New to fishing TN

Looking to get out and fish both chickamauga and nickajack lake. Wondering what some good spots are for shore fishing as I don't have a boat. Don't know the area too well and am looking for places that are easy to moderately accessible. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the tip. I'll be checking it out either later today or tomorrow and see how things go. New to the area having recently moved from Wisconsin. Miss fishing and am looking to get back out there

All the state parks are great options. Harrison Bay, Chester Frost, Riverpark.

What about for eating? Miss the taste of fresh fish, but have heard some stories from folks at work that make me a bit concerned. Looking mainly for the pan fish/crappie for food, and if I can occasionally catch a good enough sized bass, then that too. Nothing much, but if they're bad then it kinda takes the fun away of catching my next potential meal. Most of the time, bass is catch and release for me. The meat is good from time to time, but I prefer the flavor of the pan fish over that.
