No idea if that is true but he traded that boat in for a larger one, had to drive it all the way to Florida.

As info, I just emailed Tony Sanders, TWRA District 4 Commissioner. I would encourage others to do the same. [email protected]

I heard that too. Supposedly he got mad about people reporting him to twra every time he went out so he bought a bigger one but got busted before he could destroy every dock and boat in the river.
Don't know if any of its true, that's just what I've heard but u haven't seen or heard of the titanic on the lake this year so who knows

I will add one more. This past Sunday afternoon, my wife and I were up the lake about a mile and a half below the Hwy 60 bridge fishing a ledge. It was just getting nice, as the sun was getting low, the north wind had died somewhat and the wake boats and water spiders had pretty much called it a day. I had just commented on how nice it was when I heard it coming way up the river long before I ever saw it. When it came into view I thought this is would not end well. It was a big sucker, identical to the big commercial boats that you see in the harbor at Destin. I mean at least a 50 footer, and he was moving. I bet he was approaching 50mph, and throwing at least a 5ft wake. There was another boat about 300 yards up river from me fishing the same ledge, and I had already made the decision to be ready to have everything put away and cranked up by the time the destroyer got down to him. But then the strangest thing happened. The captain of the large vessel got within about 100 yards of the first boat, backed her down and idled past us both. Probably took 10 minutes or so, but he eased past us both before hammering down again. Impressed the heck out of me, and I threw him a wave and an tip of the hat as he went by. Wished I had snapped a pic, but was so thrown off by his behavior that I just plumb forgot. Anyway, kudos to the captain for being considerate of others.

There are still courteous people left out there. I've had several do this, they wave, smile and hammer back down after they pass
I talked to one of the guys at Island cove this morning and he confirmed the Pershing 74 left for Florida and neither the owner or any boat ever came back to this marina. Good riddance either way.SpurHunter - 8/3/2017 12:37 AM
