I knew Cheez would chime in! But I did think he would have some sage advice.....

OK here is my best advice. Kevin don't take yourself so seriously. You are way to young to get started on that. emoGeezer

There you go Kevin, the sage has spoken. And you know what? He's right! DO NOT be insulted by what he's saying, because you'd rob yourself if you did. You were understandably perturbed.... Keep on postin' man. Just take a picture in the bottom of the boat and tell them you caught them on corn dogs if you must. I wanna see you break that PB ssssppppppaaaaaaatttttt from Parksville!

Come on now Kevin....when you started on this forum, you had one lure......a cou......ah nevermind that. You just have to learn to adapt. You are turning into a good angler, and you should be flattered that someone out there has learned something from you. Don't give up exact locations, but a generic pattern and lure can help those who need just a point in the right direction, and it may be usefull for other lakes as well. We are all learning day by day about fishing.

I was griping about the bent pole pattern, and people marking my spots, but that does not mean they know how to fish these spots. I find myself needing to lighten up, life is too short to sweat the small stuff.

Kevin,
Don't feel bad or bitter.
You will understand as you get older.
Listen more and speak less.
This is advice from someone that has gone thru the stages of age and fishing.
Take my example.
If you fish Parksville for the next 10 years and hit all the pockets and tell folks where you fished and what you used, do you expect everyone not to fish Parksville because all the areas are yours?
Think about it.
We all like to learn new techniques.
But that does not mean I have to give you my GPS co-ordinates as to where I caught my fish.
Take another example.
Show up at a CBA tournament weigh in.
After you do that, tell me how many anglers tell you where they fished or what they used.
Best of luck.
Hope to see you in the near future in Bassmaster or FLW magazine after your first professional win.
