No successful hunt yet???

My buddy killed this good 8 point this evening on my property . We have hunted it for 5 years now and we have never seen this deer it was takin in Bradley Co.

Well me and my son went sunday evening and saw 5 deer. 3 fawns and 2 bucks. missed the first buck shot over his back. must of been shaking a little. my son got mad at me for missing. i told him his turn is coming soon. well after the woods settled back down we had a set of twins come in on us. still had spots my son thought they had a disease he had never seen one with spots before. well another buck came in a i missed that one also must of been shaking again. he got mad again for me missing. this time i started laughing at myself for getting tore up (must be buck fever). he just dont understand. well we were sitting there and a fawn came in. she got 13 yards from our blind and did not have a clue that we were there. he wanted me to shoot her she was this years deer and to small. i told him how can i hit her if i cant hit something big. of course he got mad at me for not shooting her. he just dont understand that everytime i release an arrow that is 23 dollars need to say that i have 2 23 dollar arrows still in the woods that i have not recovered yet. well it was a good time for me. we got to see deer and most important we got to spend some quality father and son time he is only 9 ears old. just like that country song "were just fishing" well we "were just hunting". hope you guys and gals enjoy this story and hopefully this weekend i can have redemption and find my 2 arrows. be safe and wear a safety harness life is to short.

I have the "YUTE" hunt at Yuchi this weekend with Catfinger, and my Enterprise hunt Monday and Tuesday, ready to grill some fresh venison!

Have been busy and only had a chance to get the boys in the woods a couple of times.
12 yr old Riley:
missed a doe opening morning morning
killed a bear opening day of bear season

7 yr old Bryse:
been couple afternoons and shot a doe (did not find her til the next morning)

I am going to try to post a pic of a friends deer...he got this morning. This is a 9pt...with some velvet still hanging on. Anyway...there were 6 bucks running together...a spike, 4 pt, 2--nice 6pt, an 8pt...and this one. He got this brute...fd...140 lbs.
