Looking good! What kind of primer do you use on the cowl? I am about to redo the cowl on my Mercury, and cant figure out what primer to get for it. Thanks

Depends on the Cowl, some are metal , some Plastic, some are fiberglass, mine is FIberglass.
On the metal or glass ones I use 2 part epoxy primer, I either use Dupont or PPG depends on which one is on sale, but House of Color and others are available.

You can get from any auto body supply house, even Oriely's on 23rd st and Soddy Daisy carry a full line of auto paints and primers. But only those two stores carry stuff like that .. you have to ask for it .. and ask for the cheapest epoxy primer no matter where you get it.

The The Plastic ones I haven't painted yet.. so I haven't researched
