Hey all I finally got a pump for my pond thanx to Bbass .. and it works great Billy .. right now just trying to figure out where I want to place it .. My water hyacinths have quadrupled since the first post .. I thought something had ate my gold fish ... then I saw one a couple weeks ago and this weekend I saw 2 at the same time .. who knows maybe all 3 are still there emoScratch .. anyway .. I still have not mortared the stones in place .. but this coming weekend I'm gonna do that and get some flex hose and install the water fall into position so that water finally flows down it and into the pond.
I'm going to have to raise the depth of the water so that the pump wont run it dry before the water makes it back into the pond, right now its about 15" at the deepest .. I'm going to make it about 2 feet deep .. I still have enough liner to bring the wall up that high with mortar.

An look I have my first tomatoes .. I dont have a black thumb after all ...

actually my thumb is black even after washing hands .. I hate the mechanics gloves, and the grease almost never comes completely off .. no matter how many times ya scrub emoLaugh

I know this don't mean diddly squat to yall on here .. but Im thrilled emoLaugh emoLaugh emoLaugh

Nice! I need to do sumthin like that in my backyard...it looks like mars now..too many friggin rocks no grass.

I know how ya feel .. thats what my yard looked like 1.5 yrs ago .. I gave away many truck loads of river rock.. and used it as a base for drive way b4 gravel was laid to help keep from loosing so much gravel, Im still picking up rock in places I hadn't aggressively worked on yet.
This area grows rocks

My buddy spent a ton of dough putting in a japanese type pond. Filled it with these little expensive gold fish they call Koi.... LOL
One night on the way home from the lake we kept a 5lb bass, a 7 or 8lb Northern Pike, three 12 in crappies and two bream about the size of my hand. A week goes by and my buddy never notices. One night while we are having a cocktail by the pond waiting on steaks to cook on the grill, kids playing on the swingset in the backyard. He's standing there talking, looking down at the pond and his eyes BOLT Open and he starts pointing at the pond, yelling "IT ATE IT!!! IT ATE IT!!!!" he then took off for the garage and came out with his large landing net. Says how he thought birds or a cat or something was eating those koi. He had bought almost a hundred nad now only had 9.... I was trying not to laugh, the he started swoopin' that net in the water, flips out a crappie and a bream. Puzzled. Looking at them, saying "how in the H....." Then he pulls out this FAT bass and throws it up in the grass. Starts whoopin and hollerin that it's the biggest bass he's ever seen (they fish for walleye only up there). Then he threw it back and said he'd have never bought the koi if he had known that I would catch him some fish. One of the funniest gags ever. Those fish he bought were over a hundred bucks.... Just thought I'd share a laugh. Need to find out where Puddle lives....
And I'm still wondering just how he thought a cat was going to catch those little fish out of his pond!?!?!?! emoLaugh

You two couldn't get into the pool at the same time, FA. emoPoke emoUpsmile

My gold fish are taking care of the skeeters, they have grown extremely fast on skeeters, 4 gold fish at wal mart about 1 1/2 long are now 4 inches long .. my indoor gold fish haven't grown that fast, not a one skeeter in the pond that Ive seen since the gold fish where put in .. I have a pump thanx to Bbass .. a pool pump, I just haven't gotten around to finishing the pond. Too many other things keep my attention focused elsewhere.
