The numbers just show that the Obama admin is deporting more of them the Bush was, which is just more proof of my belief that the wealthy, and big business owners really want and need illegal's here. You know.... maximizing profits and pleasing stock holders, all that good American capitalism stuff. It kind all ties together with the other post talking about how the rich were not spending as much money. Could it be that since Obama is sending more of them back home and cracking down on those that hire them....... the rich can't afford to spend like they used to, because some of them may have to hire Americans, and pay them a decent wage, as well as workers comp insurance and payroll taxes. Nah That couldn't be it.
Yeah better to leave them here where they can work for cheap wages, get free healthcare, and send money back home. emoLaughSniperchoke - 8/4/2010 9:48 AM
What good does it do to send them back when the border is still not secured?

I'll fix the immigration problem before the sun goes down tomorrow...... Fine any company or individual that employs an illegal 75K per incident. Freeze their assets, or take their property in lieu of fines. Do it in the name of "Homeland Security" Quite a list of offenders could be gathered from those about to be deported in exchange for possible legal status......provided they are willing to name names, and serve in the military for 4 years. You won't have to build the first stretch of fence.

Sure it would.... The #1 reason for being here would be gone...... A Job! The terrorists that attacked us on 911 got in legally.
I don't really believe my plan would actually be enacted. Our economy has grown too dependent on illegal labor. Are Americans really willing to pay higher prices for fruits and vegetables, poultry, construction, motel rooms, and floor coverings? I would like to see some sort of impact study on this topic (maybe it's been done already). Does the lower prices we now pay for the above listed items offset the drag illegals put on our social services and healthcare system?
So are we gonna build a fence along the Canadian border too? There is basically nothing up there to keep all the terrorists out. Difference is.... Canadians have jobs. It's ALWAYS about the economy.Sniperchoke - 8/5/2010 11:30 AM

Terrorists don't come here for jobs.
