Well, Why and I was working on a new corn dog recipe last night and we were too tired to drive 200 miles to the secret hole, so I just went out my back door and thought I would test the action of the dog in my swimming pool. Dang if they ain't fish in my pool. We wound up catching 14 bass and 1 bonus drum. The drum was about 8 pounds. Here are pics of the two biggest bass. One was caught on a regular corn dog and one on a mini dog as pictured. (Yep that's right Carol mini-dog). We fished from 9:45 to 12:00. Pay no attention to the back ground. It is my back door. All fish were released alive and well back in my swimming pool.

Where did my other pic go? Maybe here it is:
Oh, by the way, both fish looked like they had already laid out.

WOW!!! Nice fish ya' got in your pool!! Now WHEN are you going to let TT give it a shot and WHY are you dragging this out sooooo long!!!

Yes sir, straight out of Crow Creek...remember that day we saw your over there and you stopped by to hollar at us? About 15 yards towards the bank from the Red Bouy in that hairpin. I had been fishing that winding creek channel that I told you about, and had already caught several great fish. Then I tied into her...less than three foot of water.

I am anticipating several that size in June at the weigh in from the Scottsboro area STNA tourney...rest assured they won't be caught on a 'dog though ;)

When ... in your Swimming POOL???? Doubt it. Nice fish though ...

I'm pretty gullable .. but I don't quite believe that line.

Or the corn dog claims.

I'm just one of those people that says ... if you want me to believe that $#@% show me!

No the area I am talking about is the first little "cove" right beside the pads. It was were we was talking and those 4-5 boats came thru ldling. Its the same cove me and Rob was fishing at the CFF 3 when yall came by us the first time that morning...

Flip I love corn dogs too... I would still eat that with mustard after being in that bass' mouth.

I had a pool growing up, and always begged my folks to let us loose the clorine and put bass in it.

Heck, after kissin' em dont guess it would hurt to eat after them either. emoBigsmile

All I know is I wanted to go fishing last night and I looked in my freezer where I keep my lucky corn dog AND IT WAS GONE. I'm thinking either my wife or daughter ate it. I confronted my wife about it and she confessed that she threw it away. I asked her if she realized how many bass I've caught with this corn dog. She could care less. I'm looking for a new wife. She can do a lot of things and get by with it, but disrespecting a man's corn dog is NOT one of them.

I have to agree with you When, she has just gone too far this time. Probably ought to get that Daughter in some kind of boot camp too, she may have been in on it.

When!!! I am astonished emoEek One little corn dog and you are looking for a new wife!?!?!? Come on man! Give her another chance and just go get a new corn dog..... ya' know the one she trashed was probably getting worn out anyway! Maybe that is the reason they havent been biting as good. emoQuestion Heck, you never know... maybe it is time to try something different.

It was tough trying to super glue all that batter back on the dog, HOWEVER the rule of the household is DON'T MESS WITH A MAN'S FISHING TACKLE. She knew the rule going into the marriage.

We went last night in spite of no corn dogs. Do you know what we caught?

5 bass and 2 catfish. There. Does that sound like a normal When and Why fishing report? You tell me....

Now When, for all you know... your wife borrowed your lure, went fishin' herself and lost it, retrieved it back and messed it up. Now, I will be more than happy to go buy you another pack of cornies.... heck, i am stopping to get some minis tonight and going to the boat ramp to see what is bitin'. Give the gal another chance... sounds like she takes good care of you. We women have it rough too..... getting sausage biscuits, sandwiches and snacks ready for the guys when they have tournaments and we arent even the one out there!!! Now I am sure that your wife has done some of this for you.... give the gal a chance and I will get you another pack of corn dogs.... heck I will get you 2 packs.
