I do get out quite a bit. My son "forces" me out as much as possible. I usually go out of Chester Frost or Soddy and generally go up stream.
As far as the show is concerned, we have been all over the board the past month or so. Richard Simms was on in the middle of September and we talked fishing and duck hunting. I did a show on Bow hunting the first of October. Had Clint Smith, the Wildlife Manager from Prentice Cooper on two weeks ago.
I am headed to SD to do some pheasant hunting next week, so I imagine that will be a topic and while I am there Cameron Mitchell from Ducks Unlimited will be hosting. So yeah, right now hunting is pretty hot. But what I have found, most hunters are fisherman and most fisherman will hunt also. So the show has really taken off.
We have also spent a lot of time talking about water and grass management on the area lakes.
Just to let you know how I lean, my first guest was Brent Brady and we spent the show talking Bass Fishing. I am working on getting some tournament fisherman on as guest during their "down" time. So we will see how that goes..
I can promise you, I will go fishing every chance I can. When it gets real hot, I like to fish in the evening. I really like winter fishing as well. So when hunting season slows down, I will be headed back to the water.
If you ever have a topic you want to discuss. Please call in.
