If I ever have memory I just use that kvd line conditioner and it does the trick. I fill up A spool that will hold 150 yds of 12lb and I overfill it. Once I lose about a long cast of line I go ahead and strip the line off and put new line on. I had memory 2 days ago when it was really cold but the kvd line conditioner cleaned it up. Today since it was a little warmer I didn't have that memory.

I know a guy that on his flipping reel he only puts 55-60 yards of 20lb sun line, then goes and ties it off and stretches it then reels it in and repeats.

Anyone wanting to try a good mono- Grand Slam. It's the best I've used. Its strong as well as limp. The only other mono I'd use is Trilene XT Green (I use it for Carolina rig leader), and Maxima Green. Back when mono was all we had, I used Maxima exclusively. Then, P Line mono came along and I switched. Now I'm stuck on the Grand Slam by Hi Seas.

Yea, I know some folks that use the KVD stuff and some use Tangle-Free and I think there is another called Reel magic. Are you talking about Spinning Reels or Level Wind reels( Baitcaster)
