Actually, I see a wonderful opportunity for some creative photoshopping! I can't wait to see Jmax holding a bass in the Sahara desert or me holding a big blue over the grand canyon! Maybe DK with a crappie in front of the big tank at the aquarium!!! emoBigsmile emoBigsmile

I dont mind the photoshopping as long as its not a really crappy edit job, or its done over a stupid 10" spaaat or even a 15" LM. If you need to hide where you catch those, your hurting baaaad. emoSorry

The idea of photoshopping just seems like a lot of work, maybe just take the pic at a downward angle as to "crop" the background.

Nail struck squarely on the head... photog on the deck taking photo down of angler on boat floor... or vice versa shooting up toward sky. Problem solved and you don't give the obvious appearance of hiding anything.

I often forget that rule myself. Just take a look at my most recent photos and my location is pretty darn obvious. However, in the spirit of complete disclosure, I admit that on rare occasions I have photoshopped a few pictures. But my photoshop skills are good enough that I guarantee you never knew it. emoBigsmile Here's a hint... learn to use what's called the "Clone" tool. It can be your best friend.

richards right but I think ericm's idea is pretty good, I had thought maybe next time I catch a good ern I might PS it into a pic I took from point park overlooking downtown & moc. bend just for kicks

I don't post picks or tell anyone specifically where I am fishing. Generalization is the key this day and age. I have had too many people that pull up on me while im fishing. We call it the bent rod pattern. So Im sure not going to give them anymore info. I might tell you what to look for or depth maybe even lure but other than that they will have to figure it out for themselves and usually this info comes after a tourney. For all of you guys that don't know, if you pull up to a spot that someone is fishing wait until they move on to fish. You should stay atleast 100 yds behind them. If you think your too close you probably are. Just use a little common sense.

emoWelcome to the forum!

Yea, you got to watch out for the bent rod pattern...........it can get you in trouble if your not careful.

One of the guys on this site does a funny one.... he throws them in the livewell, drives around for three hours and then just when a good community hole shows up, "hey hand me a fish and let's take some pictures and release these fish...." That works pretty well too!!!! I agree, just take a pic in the bottom of the boat or up at the sky. No worries there...
