Dear God, I pray that you will lay your healing hands on Cody. I pray that you can give comfort & peace to his family. I pray that you will work, through his doctors & caregivers to heal this young man. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
I think just about all of us are looking forward to your updates. I know it's been on mind as I am sure it has everyone else. Hang in there buddy. "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning"
Steve, I'm still praying for Cody, possibly one of our pastors will be stopping by if he hasn't already as I made our church staff and SS class aware of Cody's condition. Hang in there, God has "got this".

Cody was moved to what's called a step down unit Sat. MICU although still in Earlanger Hosopital. He is trying to fight his restraints when he starts to come to. An they can't run the risk of him pulling out any of his tubes & stuff out. So they have to put him back under. It's tough to watch as his hart rate jumps up to 150 bpm. But I guess it's a good thing as it shows he's still in there. You see the Dr. say that there are two different charts for measuring coma's. 1-10 1 being bad & 10 being good. They say Cody is a 2 on both of them.As of Sunday He had been off of the life support for 24 hrs & was breathing on his own. (That had really been worrying me.) All though they still have the trekieotame in his throat for moisture to help fight newmoanya . His face on the other hand was pretty bad, but better now. Thank the Good Lord I didn't realize what all was wrong & broken. His eye sockets were crushed they say. An they went through the roof of his mouth to get to & repairthe fractures in his face. They seem to have done a really good job. He looks really good considering all. See I told ya PRAYERS WORK!!!!! emoSmile emoAngel emoAngel emoAngel Thank you so much!!!!!!! emoAngel & keep them coming!!! Gona be a long road. As the folks from the Shepard Center in Atl. GA. have been in touch to help take off some of the worry as to what are we going to do about his ability to go through life. To me it seemed to bother his Mom some (the lady from the Shepard Center) But heck, I took it as she wouldn't be here if the didn't expect him to make it!!! As the fisherman from Japan (Tack) say I Tol you so!! I Tol you so Thanks again everyone & you'll never be able to realize what this thread & your prayers have ment to & done for me!!! emoThumbsup
So happy to read some good news here Steve! LONG road to recovery but I'd say hes gonna be fine. Seems he is able to identify people and exchange a thumbs up for communication. That is GREAT!
That trusting enough to give it all to God is so hard to do sometimes. We want to do something to help. Our prayers continue and Cody is making progress. Please continue to do the updates, that encourages us all. I showed your first post to my wife Judie and she began to pray immediately. She is a good pray'er and not slow to call on our Lord Jesus for help. I know she has a lot of practice and I think a good connection to our Lord. Everything will happen in God's good time. We also pray for strength and support to the whole family.
Man you don't know me but I do know prayer has changed things many times for many of God's people and I will be sending up prayers for your son and if I can get my brain to function right tomorrow at Church I will put him on our prayer list. May our God in heaven touch your son and your family. Remember, God is in control and sometimes our faith will be tested. Friend In Christ
