RE: Please pray for my wife Update 11/6/13

This is Wednesday and the end of the 4th week Glenda has been in either Erlanger Hospital or Siskins Hospital. She went to Siskins but her heart rate got too high and she was sent to the ER at Erlanger.
Her heart rate is now staying lower than in recent days but not low enough to go to rehab today. Should the next 24 hours prove to be as good as the last 24 we could move to rehab Thursday. She is however getting stronger

We have sensed the presence and the loving care of God every day she has been here. This morning was really unique. One of the Erlanger docs Dr. Odem whom we saw yesterday when he came to visit Glenda and stayed a long time telling about his 2'children and some of their escapades. He was quite a story teller. Well today he came again and explained that every morning in his office at home he gets on his knees and has a special time talking with The Lord, not asking for anything just thanking him for all his goodness and love. Well this morning he said he didn't do that and was walking down the hall of the hospital and he felt a song being sung to him from The Lord and he actually sang the song to us and it was
a beautiful song and his voice was beautiful also. The song spoke of how God wants to spend time with us and how he misses us when we don't and after the song he asked if he could pray with us which we readily said certainly. He prayed a beautiful prayer and then left the room. This was a very special and unique experience for us. We thank The Lord for Dr. Oxen.

I just had to share this with you as I know you are so faithful to pray for us. May God richly bless you.

Ernie

So glad to hear that Glenda is improving and may be going back to Siskin soon. I love the story of your Doctor and his wanting to share his life with you and pray with you. I know that God's hand is at work at Erlanger and I think you will find the same at Siskin. We continue to lift you both up in prayer. We know that God loves you and is hearing our plea for healing and inner strength. Ernie, you and my Judie deserve a special blessing from God as I know how hard it is for the caregiver in these situations. I do not know how you both do it. It takes amazing faith and strength to bear it.

May God continue to bless you both.

Regards, Norman and Judie

Yesterday, Nov. 8 Glenda was moved to Siskins for rehab. Her heart isn't racing too much anymore but she can't walk w/o a walker and is on oxygen. Hopefully she'll be out and back home in about a week. Thanks to everyone for their prayers and support.
