I was kicking around the idea of having some tournaments this year where the poor man can enter them on the same days these high priced suckers are being held. No more then $50.00 bucks to enter for the team. You will not be winning $2k or $3k, more then likely you will be lucky to win $400.00 for first. emoBigsmile However since the majority does not win anyways you will have the satisfaction of knowing you did not loose over $51.00 when you entered but did not even place. I figured I can't be the only cheap angler out there looking for a low priced tournament where the biggest prize is bragging rights and just for fun. It would give us poor folks a tournament to fish on the days the rich folks were fishing. emoToast You never know...you might see one of them out there catching a grands worth and learn something. emoTongue

What do you think? emoEvil Jmax

Would love to. Only problem, Saturdays are spent coaching kids' baseball. Sundays??

I would love to see some of these on days of bigger events. But, you will get blasted to high heavens by the "big dogs" that are fishing for that $2000 or $3000 check. I can already hear it now.....

id be game Jmax if i get back to work soon enough!! then gotta work on my livewells.. but sounds like a good idea to me.. your going get blasted anyways no matter what u wanna do im sure if u set it up and organize it the turnout would be pretty good

jmax you were doing really good with the legends deal on days when other people would likely not have tournaments. anything more and you would likely just be in the way. yeh i'm thinking the turn out would be really good if you had a tournament on the same day as the SHRINERS, CBA, ABA, CATCH, WALL MARTetc.

We must have a hole lot different meaning of the word poor. When was the last time you had Mac & cheese because that was all there was? emoLaugh emoLaugh

Just come off of that front pocket $$$ a little & you'll win your entry back in -2-3 CBA's. I know your more than good enough you just have to fish a few until your # hit's. $60.00 won't kill ya. Besides I'd love to have someone else to give a hard time. emoLaugh

And the tournaments that I run are in the same price range and with a little more money at the end of the season you can have your part of over $100,000.00 in cash and prizes. not saying it would be a bad idea but just and having them on the same days as the other not sure about that.

fish the usa bassin trail i think its only 60 a tx in the classsic you can win a boat i think

CATCH tournaments are $40 per boat with optional $10 big fish and $5 big smallmouth. We have 9 total - one a month - and all are sponsored with guaranteed $500 first place no matter how many fish. With more than 30 boats the $$ goes up. We fish from different ramps which makes it more challenging for some and more fun for others. Hope to see some of you soon.

Agree.

emoLaugh That's a hoot, when we are talking about one that is $250.00 to enter you two think it is a great idea. When we talk about one that is $50.00 to enter you think there are too many already. emoBooHoo Jmax

Never said anything about it being a great idea, I simply mentioned how you could afford them . I have no plans to fish them. like I said, too many tournaments already.
