FV you stated..."It's far enough off that you can save a little at a time. that's the way im looking at it anyway."

emoScratch Sorry there FV, I took that to mean you were going to start saving now so you could fish them. emoSorry Jmax

Yep , doesnt say anything about it being a great idea. Not trying to be an azz about anything. I like fishing tournaments as much as anyone, but there really are way way too many on Chickamauga. JMO.

After looking over the Calendar and considering the choices already out there I have come to the following conclusion. Between the CFFs(I added them to the calendar), the CATCH and the USABASSIN tournaments a guy can fish a bunch of tournaments that are not too expensive already. On a couple weekends where that may not be true I may fill in with a Legends tournament like last year. ;) If there is a weekend with only high ticket tournaments around I may entertain having a Legend tournament on that weekend as well. emoBigsmile Jmax

Thanks for all the feed back both negative and positive. emoThumbsup

Good lands, theres already tx's every saturday in May and June I believe and I'm unsure about the rest but I would bet not many saturdays left during the summer. Like someone said earlier CATCH, BAIT, BITE, ABA, BFL, CFF's, Shriners, UTC, etc, not to mention, monday night, tuesday night x2, thursday night, and friday night. Surely with all those days one could find a not so much to pay entry fee and one up to 120$ to enter. To many on chickamauga already IMO.

How about a tx with a 100 hp maximum?

Is there something I am missing? Other then the shotgun start and someone beating you to a hole or maybe locking through and going to the G what is the advantage of having a big motor? If I made it less then 100 hp I would have to knock myself out since mine is a 200. Jmax

Lets face it Jim Ol Boy...This was all just a bad brain fart. emoLaugh

I am agreeing after last years experience, there enough tournaments to choose from on this lake. Too many at times.

popeyedpete - 1/10/2010 7:23 PM JMax, go for it. Then you can be public enemy number one. emoLaugh

emoUpsmile Never thought of that. Good idea though!emoBigsmile

I spent 21 weeks as Public Enemy #1 last year. I had to change my name and move to the Hiwassee to avoid extradition.

If the Ratman had not been moved to the 58 Hwy marina I would not even been thinking this way. emoPoke May make a run up there this year a couple times and see how that goes. emoSmile Jmax

I like the sounds of that outcaster.... but hopefully im upgraded before the spring to something more than 100 but still a good idea!!! and if im not upgraded before then i would for sure fish a tx like that with my 90 hp

There is a tx Scheduled every Saturday on Chick from late Feb until early July. The CFF calender does not show them all.

Jim, I still cant believe you dont fish some of these larger txs.

Churly, I heard "Dr Spoook" was "coming" out of retirement. emoTongue

emoUpsmile That is funny Billy...I plan to fish the CFFs with Mr. Wiskers this year and the USABASSIN with the BSer...Mr. Lance so my work is already cut out for me this year. emoBigsmile I am going to try to do a couple Catch tournaments as well. Looking on the Calendar that is a pretty full summer right there and I do not have to make any big investments in any one tournament. I might also swing up and hit a couple Ratmans at B&B so life is good. emoToast Does appear to be enough already to keep a person very busy. emoTongue Jmax

Have 2 tx's in one.... separate payouts for boats above and below 100 or 125 hp

HP matters a little if you need to make a long run.. but smaller boat makes you fish whats around you better a lot of the times instead of running and gunning all tourney I dont see a need to separate the two plus whats better then winning out of your 2 grand boat with a 70 hp and beating all the guys with 600 a month payments LOL
Im going fish a few out of my boat this year soon as I get off my butt and fix the livewells..
