I live in Ooltewah(Hunter Rd.). 5 minutes from the ramp, 5 minutes from I-75. Lots of choices around here. Good Luck

Check out the Mc Donald area of Bradley County.

15 miles from Wolftever or Harrison Bay or Hiwassee River, 25 miles to Ocoee lake.

5 minutes to exit 20 on I75 12 minutes to exit 11

Low taxes, low Crime.

If you have school age children,I would strongly consider N GA. (catoosa county)
Taxes are not much different if you add it all up.save a little on some pay more on some,Property taxes in catoosa county are low compared to hamilton county in tenn. But I still think with the state income tax,if you don`t have a lot of deductions,it`s just as bad as tenn.Like I said(without going into a lot of detail)the schools !

GA - they need more people to pay taxes for their water storage projects, since they have not planned for the growth Atlanta has experienced.

My first ex wife is in Georgia, they ain't no way I'm movin' back to the Peach State. No offense to you Georgians.

I am the most screwed tax person on this thread. I live in TN, work in GA, no kids and my wife works. Not gonna tell you what we pay in total taxes but it is more than the GDP of most thrid world countries. I give GA 5-6% of my check just to drive on 10 miles of their wonderful roads, which suck by the way. I live in TN for many reasons but most of all so my wife does not have to fork over 5-6% of her check too. Course after Obama gets done I will have to actually get a second job to pay for the previlage to work at my first job. I told my dad that the day it costs me more to work that I get paid I would quit.

So keep in mind if you live OR work in GA you and eveyone in your household that makes money will pay 5-6% of it to GA. The sales tax thing is way over blow. Hamilton Co is about 10% total where GA is around 6% ???. I would say most of your earned money goes to things like house notes, etc where the local sales tax is not a factor. I will take the additional 3-4% sales tax that is optional to me as I can decided where to spend my money vs the 5-6% state income tax that is not optional and is on every penny I earn.

Love TN. One of the few remaining states with no state income.

I feel for you Whiskers... I know how you feel. Being in the 28% tax bracket sucks, and that's not including Alabama state income tax.
