Prentice Cooper must have new rules this year that you can shoot from a vehicle and in a Safety zone.
Today I was setting 50 yards outside the safety zone and 15 yards in the woods trying to call a big gobbler that was feeding in the planted area along the road 40 yards into the safety zone in a litttle valley. I had been setting there about 45 minutes hoping the bird would work in my direction. I heard a side by side coming down the hill on the gravel road they slowed down about where I thought the bird was but came on up hill where I was setting and keep going. I can not see the road from where I was setting the next thing I know 2 shots was fired back to back from the road in the safety zone. I was shocked and watched the bird fly off. I thought they had let someone out to shoot I stood up and started toward the road when I got a shock it was the white Forest Department Truck that was shooting out the window in the safety zone.
Makes me feel better about buying a license and the people you trust are poachers.
