We worked late the other night putting our pvc fish attractor together. Bought the stuff to make two of them and had some left over to start a third one for less than 30$. Don’t know how well they will do but I’ll keep everybody posted as I fish them. Don’t see any reason why they won’t work plus they will last forever.

Going to post some pictures and the last picture will show where one is.

Those are some nice looking condos. We have put together 7 since Dec. That last picture looks just like the area where we put ours.emoBigsmile . Here are 3 pictures of our style.

Those look pretty good Whisler11. Just curious, what make s the bottles black and how well do they show up on a depth finder. The ones I put out don't show up very well at all. I guess because the pvc is round that it don't reflect the sound waves straight back to the receiver. If i didn't know what was there I might just pass it up.

Thank you soooooooooooooo much for letting us know where you deployed your fish attactors. I'm sure that many of us will try them out. emoEvil

super nice work very similar to some i made a few yrs. ago best thing was watching looks on peoples faces when you take these to the lake to set em upemoLaugh emoLaugh emoLaugh

I cut the ends off of the bottles and shoot black spray paint inside. This leaves the natural plastic outside for algae to have a place to grow. I use 2 liters and 20 oz. bottles. We sink ours around 5am when we go out. The pvc does not show up very well on fishfinders. A good GPS really helps. Some of the bigger ones were made with 2 liters and were around 8 ft tall. I don't think that they have been out long enough to have proper documented results but one day we put some out at 5 am and caught crappie and spots off of them around 12 noon the same day. I have 560 lbs of concrete , 200 ft of pvc, 10 buckets and several big garbage bags of bottles for the next bunch. I just need to make the time to put them all together.

That looks pretty good Whisler. Are you attaching the cap with a screw and washer?

Just courious if you have fished any of these and have they produced fish well?

Yes, we use course thread drywall screws but no washer. Washers would work but added a little more money to the project. If you put 2 screws in the cap they hold pretty good. We have caught 245 crappie since 11-18-06. I checked my journal. I have no idea how many came off the condos but we do catch fish on at least one of them on every trip.
