First off let me thank everyone for their words of appreciation on making the plans. But you must know its because of a selfish reason I do it ... you all are some of my favorite people. So I know for sure I'm going to have fun on December 7th!!!

Party location: Rib and Loin located at 5946 Brainerd Road in Chattanooga. For those of you familiar with it, you will find it north of the Brainerd Rd. Walmart! South of Sam's Club. In front of Big Lots. <---- I think that's all right!!! :)

The party starts at 7:00 PM on Friday December 7th. I will have a list there with your name, # of people you reserved, and how much you owe. See me for payment. If we could take care of that when you first arrive, it would help me out.

There is no deadline on when we have to leave. Our party will be to the left after you walk into the restaurant. I will add this, I spoke with the owner of Rib and Loin to reserve and explained to him about have 47 folks and wondering if he would still charge me for 50 and he said that's a minimum they set but if I only had 47 .. he would charge me for 47 and he threw in potato salad which NORMALLY doesn't come with the buffet. In all I have to say the man has been very fair and understanding about our uniqueness. So please don't let the original requirements stop you from coming. This gentleman's hand should be shook and he should be thanked for accommodating us.

Gift Swap ... anyone who wants to participate is asked to bring a $15 to $20 gift. If you are bringing someone with you, you must bring 2 gifts, and so on. Everyone wishing to participate in the gift swap must bring one to get one. We will be drawing numbers once we determine whose all involved. Then ... starting with number 1 (or the lowest number picked) that person will be allowed to go pick out a gift. Gift is opened, shown to the crowd and then goes #2, number two can take the gift from #1 OR pick a new one, open it show it to the crowd. Then #3, who can choose between the gift of #1 or #2 or pick a new gift. And so on ... you really hope for the highest number, then you can pretty much pick your bounty. This game may take a bit to play with 50 some folks but its okay because we don't have any specific time to leave. :)

I only see a few possibilities of kids on the list. If those with children would be so kind as to post their sex and ages, I'll make sure we have some special gifts, fun for them.

As usual .. let me know if there are questions or problems. BOY ... this is going to be FUNNNNNNN!!!

I can't wait to see everyone.

Fine job, TT!

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you lunatics!

I just found out that I have been ordered to make a presentation at a company management meeting in Nashville on the 7th, but should be able to make it back in time...don't worry if I'm fashionably late. I'll drop by to pay and visit for a while if nothing else!

Paid the deposit today and we're set! Even got the "surprise"!!!

Sooo ... clarification on the gift swap thingy. If you wan to participate you have to bring a gift .. if you don't want to participate don't bring a gift. Only those bringing a gift will participate.

Isn't that easy?

Friday is going to be F U N ...

Karren,
Do you have any thoughts on how to do the kids guifts?? do we need to pick one and do it that way or a girl or boy gift??

so far we have 2 boys coming, ages 10 and 14. We have 6 girls, ages 13, 13, 13, 12, 11, and 10. SD has I "think" a child coming of unknown age.

It would seem that the kids this age might enjoy participating in the gift swap ... or do we need to plan something special???

TT <--- never had any kids. So ... I don't know what they would enjoy most, playing the game or getting something special on their own. Since we have 50 folks coming ... maybe we could throw a pot together. Like $3.00 each, and get them all something averaging $20.00? I had thought we might have 4 - 9 year olds which are easy to accommodate. But ... we got some real teens ready to get fishing with something other than a Micky Mouse Bobber and a Superman pole! :)

I'll check back for suggestions ... so please give them!

Parker is coming and he's 3, but why not do this...

Can't we just take a collection and then split the money we raise evenly between a little girl and a little boy off of The Wishing Tree (am I calling it the right thing?)? Parker is getting more than enough for Christmas and I, for one, would really like to see us contribute to those less fortunate.
