I'm game with pulling cash for a needy child... RR is it ok if I come over and spoon Friday night???

You know you're always welcome here bro ... but you'll have to spoon w/ Parker ... and he farts a lot. You'd better just spoon with a throw pillow right here on this sofa I'm stretched out on. emoLaugh

Okay guys .. not letting you emoTskTsk hijack my thread over your sleepin' arrangements. If worse comes to worse .. I got a couch that someone can share with the pooch! :)

BACK to presents. I can appreciate RR's sentiment for donating to the angel tree, etc. BUT ... the kids coming are nearly teens and some are teens and to leave them out would be unfair since we are all participating in some gift swap at our choice. I suggest that we include the kids in our swap. I can't imagine anyone getting a gift they cannot use. That way they have the same option as the rest of us ... bring to get ... or watch if you don't want to do it. Now that being said a few folks have asked specifically about the kids and what to get them. Whether that means you plan on getting something for them or not I'm not sure. By the time dinner at $12.00 a pop, and gifts at $15.00 to $20.00 x 5 folks ... we're talking a good chunk of change. So those that are bringing kids or other family members might find the cost prohibitive. WE DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN! So if any of this is an issue, please PM me so we can work something out.

It's more important that we have our get together than we have a token to take from it. At least that's my thought.

We could do away with the gift swap all together if you all think its going to prohibit someone from coming and participating. It's just an extra fun thing .. not written in stone. Suggestions .. Suggestions .. Suggestions.

me and the BW discussed this last night....it would be more FUN IF THE GIFTS WERE CHEAPER GAG GIFTS.....MORE FUN...MORE FUN...What are your thoughts on this.....????? gag gifts??? FA

Let's make it $10.00 to $15.00, includes EVERYONE .. all kids and adults. YES .. gag gifts are acceptable. As well as non gag gifts. Spouses and friends and parents are welcomed to participate. If you are coming to the party at all, eating or not eating .. as long as you have a gift .. you can participate.

Should anyone have an issue with the gift (i.e., unable to afford it, time to get it, PM me and we'll get you covered anonymously). You really won't want to miss it.

TT, someone asked me what time the food will be ready, I guess cause they thought I, of all people would be worried about that, I just cant imagine why though.....

Anyway, when is it huh-huh-huh? They also asked what time the gift thingy will be....so many questions, so little memory.

The food thingy will be ready when we get there at 7. So although nothing is set in stone, no one will stop you from enjoying your dinner at any time you deem yourself hungry. It is a buffet so you can go back for more! :) Figuritively I think everyone should be at the joint and eating by 7:15 or 7:30.

That being said, by 8:00 we should be about ready to do presents. That will take, depending on participants, a bit of time. 50 some folks if everyone participates. OHHHHH .. it's going to be fun. There is no time limit on when we have to go ...

Hope that helps, but as you can see, it's open for whatever you feel like doing.

Come on down and join the fun. Go to the calendar for specific location details and time.

Won't want to miss it if you can help it. Lots of the forum "celebrities" will be there to visit and pass on some great fishing stories and tips.

Food Fight!!! :) I haven't had one of those since my college days! Wonder how far you can sling potato salad from a spoon!

Hopefully we can save that experiment for another day. Like a picnic ... where it seems more appropriate!

I'm looking forward to this!
