i say breaker or fuse as well, good luck with it!

If the electronics come on with the trolling motor battery, could it still be a fuse?

If the electronics cam on with the trolling battery then there is nothing wrong with the fuse

Make sure you have a good connection at the battery. I would also think the electronics would come on even with a battery that wont crank the big motor.

Flip Nailed it. Loosen the wing nuts from the starting battery and look at the contact areas. Scrape off any "Krud". Put them back on and tighten properly. If you found loose terminals or buildup, then you just fixed the problem. With a bad connection your battery will not charge and your system will just click. Even with a full battery and a bad connection it will just click.

A tripped breaker or blown fuse will not let it click.

Before you replace anything charge your starting battery and then try it with a good connection.

if all your accesories are hooked to a single brown terminal block that hooks to the batt...some are circuit breakers and the little trip reset button is really hard to see...it is on the side.....I didn`t even know it was on mine for years and just happened to stumble on it....but it is usually set up on accessories and my tro;lling motor has one too....just a thought.....starting cable usually hook direct to batt

Well, received a new battery from Walmart. Went and hooked everything back up and all I received was the "clicking" sound again. I have no idea what to do. It's starting to get frustrating. Any suggestions? Should I take it somewhere?

YEAH IF ALL YOUR CONNECTIONS ARE GOOD AND YOU`RE SURE THE BATTS HOT...SOUNDS LIKE A STARTER SOLENOID MAY BE IT.OR STARTER ITSELF..SORRY ..I KNOW THAT AIN`T WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR.

HANG IN THERE.... YOU`LL GET IT ALL WORKED OUT BEFORE YOU KNOW IT !...JUST IN TIME FOR THE GOOD FISHIN`

THAT SURE IS A PUNY LOOKIN` FISH THERE LL

Alright, changed the terminal ends on all the cables today. The motor will start now (hooray!) but the electronics will not come on and the trim will not work. I hear a click on the trim still...just no action. HOWEVER...I noticed the "reset" button for the accessories and it was broken off. I must have broken it off trying to lift the batteries out. So...I'm off to Boater's World tomorrow to get a new "whatever you call those reset boxes"....toggles? rocker switch? Anyhoo, hopefully my problem will be solved.
