Successful - Hiwassee Refuge Muzzleloader Hunt...

I live a mere half-mile from VAAP. I've applied (1st Choice) every year it's been offered since 1984.

Have never gotten it.

I got the second hunt at VAAP and I'm surprised because I didn't even put in the last time when the hunts were cancelled.

For regular quota hunts, I don't think you are charged anything unless you are drawn. It's only some of the special stuff (like Elk Drawing) that you pay $10 in advance (non-refundable).

But I really can't remember for sure (I have a Lifetime License so it's all free... well, free after I gave them $1,200 in advance a few years ago)

I dont do the sportsmans since it went up again, havnt been doing the BP or archery hunts. These draws were $20 to apply for.

I THINK on regular hunts, you'll get it back if you paid it in advance. Let me know... I'm curious now.

I put infor both Hiwasse Refuge muzzleloader hunts got the second hunt Nov. 12-14, I think it will be a good one the bucks should be running the does pretty good.
