Dang! I dont understand why they have an antlerless/spike hunt. Making a hunter pass on a lifetime buck is cruel!

I got the october prentice mzl hunt.

I got Enterprise South. Never hunted so I don't know if I'm excited about it or not.

Get more than 100 yards off the road and you will see plenty of deer. There is ALWAYS a chance to see a great buck in there as well, again though, get as far into the woods as you can, and near thick cover will increase your chances.

I certainly understand the doe, but according to all the armchair biologists on the interweb, you should NEVER< EVER shoot a spike.

In Kentucky the hunting guide refers to a deer with antlers 3" or less is considered a doe, I'm sure it's the same here. Just think of it as doe only, kill one and be happy you were drawn

They obviously have a late rut in that area, thus I would expect a lot of late born male fawns would be spikes. It doesnt make sense. But I would still try to make that hunt happen. Should be an easy harvest, and take your camera!

That's a long way to go kill a doe anyway consider it a blessing in disguise. We got hiwassee refuge muzzleloader October 31 thur November 2.
