Those are underArmour liner gloves. l have a pair of those to.. l just got my guidewear today and i have to say i`m very impressed with the fit and over all quality feel of the suit. looks like i will get to try it out sunday in the crappie tournament.

Just to add to this topic a little off topic reminder to those that already don't do this.
I've always packed one of those large storage bags with spare coveralls, thermal underwear, warm socks, boots and a couple large towels in case of an accidental dunk in the water.
Adds a few lbs to the boat but may be a lifesaver.

What size did you get ?

Good thread, super big difference when you are going far distances in rain and cold going 70mph, then if you are going 35mph for 2 miles. I found that out really quick one day and trust me, it sucks being wet and cold all day fishing a tournament. If these guys say the guidewear and the 100mph are the way to go, then if you have the money you should get it! I too wear sandals all year long and if it is really cold I throw on a couple pair off smartwool socks and put those foot warmers between the 2 socks and it does the trick. In the rain I just throw on my waterproof shoes and good to go. When I layer up if it is really cold I put on one of those thermacare back heat wraps and they keep me pretty toasty all day. If there is one thing that still gets me it is cold hands. I hate thick gloves and I use some thin ones and the hot hands at walmart suck so my hands stay cold and wet all day. I am looking into those 12hour hot hands and I think they make a 24 hour one but I'm not sure. Is there a good brand out there that is better than the rest?

SlabDog - 11/19/2014 6:44 AM I guess I'm just old fashioned. I don't think all this new gear is comfortable. I wear long johns, jeans and flannel shirt with double layer hoodie. When I get to the lake I put on the insulated coveralls I've had for years. It works for me and I stay warm. I have a rain jacket that will go over the carharts, but that's just to get me to the ramp if I get caught in a rain. I don't fish on rainy days. emoAngler emoGeezer

I used to be like that. I had a pretty good system worked out of older stuff I'd thrown together that would keep me warm & some what dry. As long as I drove 10-15 MPH in the rain. & if I got wet I could just head on in.

But Robbie (like my partner) has a 300 HP Merc. on a 21 Ft. Bullet! What I mean is will it keep you dry & warm in the rain or sleet or snow75-90 M.P.H. for 30 miles. mine& my partners did last Sat. in the Heartland out of Sullivans.

Well yousay that's crazy, how often are you going torun like that. & I say the Winners took home $800.00 & they ran 40+& so did 2nd.

Ya spend $10000.00- $15000,00on anew Merc., what's $275.00to stay dry & warm for ever? Guys I've been there. I know it's a lot of $$$. But worth every DIME!

By the way SlabDog I was in a hurry when I made this post & after going back & reading itI didn't like the way I came off. I wasn't putting you or your equipment down or any thing like that. I didn't mean to sound up'ady. Heck I can't even spell it. emoLaughI'm by no means rich like Jmax. I'm just trying to help out a buddy & save him time & $$$ in the long run. Hope I didn't sound that way. And if I did I sure didn't mean to.Ask any one who really knows me that ain't my style.

It's on sale for 179.99-247.99 for each piece right now but if you watch the site you can get it cheaper. I bought mine about 4 years ago and they ran a year end sale/closeout and I got the tall insulated bibs and insulated parks for 225.00. It was basically buy the bibs and get the parka free. The sizes run a little weird so get one size bigger than what you wear. I am 6 ft 2 and weigh 190 lbs and I got the Large Bibs and Parka (both tall) and still have enough room to layer clothes under it if I need to. I fish and work outside in them in the winter and it's honestly the best suit I have ever owned and has held up great.

Instead of the hot hands I started using one of those old fashioned Zippo hand warmers... the one with the lighter fluid in it. That thing gets hot and stays hot for 6 hours plus... I have two of these things... not very expensive at all. Just don't leave them out of the bag while burning... they will get too much air and get too hot to touch. I put one in one of the inner layers I am wearing and it acts like a heater.

Guys I thought I would pass along that Cabelas just put their Insulated guidewear on sale..Just got bibs and parka for $349 shipped!!!!! Had $125 in gift cards so that made it even cheaper..

They make some rechargeable and battery heated gloves, socks, and even jackets now. Going through my first deer season on blood thinner has taught me some new ways to keep warm

Fellas gerbling has got some good clothing also I have a pair of12volt socks an gloves with a heat control that I use. Also go to your local Amy surplus an look in to that insulated flight suit that are very warm also.

the new h20 ssx from academy r nice but not insulated just got a suit did very well sat and sunday

I have this suit as well, or at least the bibs. I have the BPS goretex lite rain jacket. It is uninsulated and very lightweight.... I wear a pair of cheap thermals and fleece pants under it and have fished in mid twenties with no problems.
