Reasons why someone might vote democrat

When someone can't explain why they voted for Democrats, give them this list.

They can then pick a reason.

10. I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

9. I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

8. I voted Democrat because Freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

7. I voted Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

6. I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

5. I voted Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies through abortion so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

4. I voted Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits.

3. I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the democrats see fit.

2. I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

1. I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my *** it's unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

I voted Republican, because
I love the idea that I can tell people who don’t
share my values who they should marry.
I've decided they should marry the Ann Coulters and Rush Limbaughs of the world.

I voted Republican, because
I believe oil companies' obscene profits on 100 dollar a barrel oil is
a beautiful thing, and the government taxing a gallon of gas
at a mere 15% is also.

I voted Republican, because
I believe that big business and the banks will do a better job of
spending federal bailout money better than I would.

I voted Republican, because
freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody burns a flag
to express that speech.

I voted Republican, because
we knew that when we went into Iraq the bad guys would stop what
they were doing, because they now think we are good people.

I voted Republican, because
I know I am a responsible person who can open carry a gun to political rallies,
and I know that my local police and secret service will understand
that I need it with me to protect me from murderers and thieves.

I voted Republican, because
I believe that people who offer mountains of convincing data that
tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away at an alarming rate are
all just trying to sell me a Prius.

I voted Republican, because
I'm not concerned about the taking of innocent life in prisons as
much as I am in favor of how a strong central government can tell
what women are to do with their reproductive organs.

I voted Republican, because
I think illegal aliens are the best thing since sliced bread
to scare the bejesus out of frightened Americans who think these brown people
are getting free educations, and taking their Social Security benefits.

I voted Republican, because
I believe that business should be allowed to make obscene profits for
themselves by lobbying for the repeal of laws that, for decades, saved America
from another Great Depression. They need to keep as much of their profits
as they can for themselves, or for any lobbyists that republicans see fit.

I voted Republican, because
I believe neoconservative judges need to rewrite The Constitution
every few days to suit corporations and the rich who would never
get their agendas past the voters.

I voted Republican, because
My head is so firmly planted up my patootie that it is unlikely
that I'll ever have another point of view.

Oil was 140 a barrel at one time. Saud's said it should never been above 70. Outcaster the economy is coming back, we are about to leave middle east. First amendment means nothing to Republicans even though it is the firstness of the constitution. They know this, and when I say they it is the people at the table. It is a shameable attempt to reclaim the senate, so when spring/summer of next year when economy is in full swing and war after thought, they can say I told you so. It is amazing to me how the private sector who is drivin by profits, which is good would ever use Katrina and the Iraq war to decieve Americans. We all know businesses keep Americans best interest at heart over profits. I guess that is why the health care industry is now telling women they know longer need a mamogram every year. Republicans who are short run economist got what they could while the getting was good, and now hope althought they have every tax write off and substidies they can possibly get hopes they can get the capital gains tax reduction through a Republican congress, so they can not worry about reinvestment here and take their investments abroad. I will give Republican leaders this, they are very good at using simple minded tactics to manipulate simple minded people.

John, interesting shot at the Democrats!
Danny, nice comeback to John's post!
Both of you - it's interesting, and sometimes even fun, to read the two of you. You tend to stay civil with two somewhat(????) differing points of view. LOL Thanks for posting some fishing reports when you get a chance to get out, too!

Possum, or whatever your real name is (I'm beginning to suspect that it just might be your real name), you have said before that you are a teacher. It is a respected and worthy profession.

Please tell us just what it is that you teach to our children. It surely isn't English or any variation that I have ever seen. Spelling is obviously out of the picture too. Made-up words, grammatical errors, lousy punctuation, run-on sentences, horrible spelling errors, and an inability to create paragraphs make reading your posts nearly impossible. By the time we sort that all out, it has become too much of a chore to try to figure out what your point usually is - unless it is that you like to rant at those with differing political opinions. Please take the time to re-read your posts and use the free spell check program before hitting the "submit" button. Simple, and thoughtful toward the forum members.

Oh, and maybe offer an occasional fishing report too. Thanks.

I never did like political views, but I have only one question and please be civil about your answer. Why does the Elephant represent the Republican party and the Donkey represent the Democratic party ?

Maybe you should take your own advice. Funny thing, I see errors on here all the time, no one says anything. For some reason it is always an issue with me. Another thing, why is my profession always brought up every time I respond to a political post? If you don't like my post, don't read it. As far as fishing reports go, when I get a chance to go I will post one, if there is anything worth reporting. However, thanks for proving my point.

Take his own advice about what? I dont see any mistakes in his post. Also EricM and I for that matter do post fishing reports....whether they are worth posting or not. Alot of times,I want to know where the fish are NOT biting. It saves me a wasted trip. Posting fishing reports is what CFF is all about...good ones..bad ones...funny ( especially if it involves Spurhunter and EricM anywhere near a dam emoLaugh ). Now its not a "requirement" to be a member of the CFF, but people on here do appreciate them. Alot of times you can meet some very good freinds that way..democrats and republicans!! And by the way...exactly what is your point Possum?
