Bandit shad 200, small black/bluue pig 'n jig with Uncle Josh pork frog. We did manage near the end to get some pretty good top water bites! Roland Martins Dawg was the winner there.

I'm becoming addicted to this riprap thing!!!!

Plan on hitting it again Sunday morning.

Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.

Show him some rip-rap, and he sticks all of my little Spots.emoPoke

See you Sunday.

sorry.gif
But I did leave 11 little ones

Oh..BTW. The autopsy revealed a few bugs, 2 minnows and 3 small craw fish.

Taking kids to the riprap is a good way to introduce them to bass fishing. The action is usually fast enough to keep them interested. One thing though, They need to learn to cast more parallel to the bank. Kids don't do very well on distance control, so they tend to cast up on the rocks. Carry a painting extension pole if you want to try to save some crank baits. emoSmile

I agree. Being that they only bite right off the bank, Billy and I get on the front deck and just cast back and forth cast an angle with the bank. That kiddo has gotten really good about slinging it right in there. One hang up from him last night a around 3 from me.LOL! We keep the boat about 10 fet off the bank..give or take a few feet.

Pitching the bank that way lets you cover so much more area in the strike zone. Plus I think the fish like to see it coming up the flow.

When the water is down, there are a couple of places down around the VFW where big rocks are just under the surface. I would hold off the bank more like 25-30 feet when fishing that area.
