rodent motel (trap) - best I ever used !

<h1 style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; font-size: 24pt; font-weight: normal; font-family: Bungee, serif; color: #006699; overflow: hidden; zoom: 1">We tried sticky pads to kill some rodents that have been destroying the insulation under our jacuzzi tub and no go. I used the usual mouse traps and found them not the best way to kill varmints because they wouldn't always snap shut; same for sticky pads that provided supper and little else. So I looked at this design:

<span style="background-color: #f4f4f4; color: #2c2c2c">Note: the thing is super-sensitive to being touched and will snap shut fast guillotining your fingertip if yer not careful when adding bait. Even laying the trap down can make it snap shut if not placed extra gentle-like.</span></p>
<span style="color: #2c2c2c">I placed 3 traps under a round plastic splatter guard for the microwave with a small door cut into it. (Didn't want birds, chipmunks or squirrels injured - the same reason for not using poison.) A bit of peanut butter did the trick and two were caught within 24 hours! They must have super odor detection because the air temp was in the 20's!</span>

Update: okay, 2 mice within 24 hours Next day one more! Probably would have killed more if I had reset the two traps. Put the three on my dock by the pond. Curious if hawks or other predators will eat them. Reset the traps yesterday. </p>

No need putting more bait in the cups - the traps are just too fast to even allow even a little bit of munch'n. Most likely more of their kin will take the bait consider'n how horny those little critters are. Bet I'll find more corpses today.</p>

They make great bait for trapping in dirt hole sets for coyotes.
